Remy's leg bounced nervously as she pulled up to Fallon's house. She could see lights on inside from the driveway, taking a few extra moments to compose herself before making her way up the steps.

Ringing the doorbell, she heard footsteps almost immediately. Fallon opened the door looking like she’d materialized out of a dream. Remy didn’t have time to dwell on it though, because true to Fallon’s word, Dolly was there too, dressed in an adorable plaid bowtie as she wagged her tail happily at the sight of Remy.

Remy laughed, her own glee only causing Dolly to shake her body harder. The pup broke into a run toward her and screeched to a halt at the brunette's feet.

"Who's a good baby? You look so pretty, Dolly." Her voice came out in that high pitch people do when talking to animals, her own embarrassment minimal because Dolly really did look so damn cute and excited to see her, the feeling wholly mutual.

"Ya know, I'm trying not to be jealous of her, but you're starting to make it difficult."

The words alerted Remy that she had, in fact, been ignoring the woman who invited her here. The brunette stood up straight again and looked toward Fallon.

Fallon had showered, her hair now down and cascading around her shoulders, a linen button-down shirt accentuating her frame. Long, fitted skinny jeans hugged the contours of her legs, and her feet were bare. Remy wondered briefly what it would be like to come home to this every night but shook the thought away as quickly as it had materialized.

"Hi," she said shyly, sure the other woman noticed her stare.

"Hi, to you, too. You look gorgeous." Fallon's words were earnest, giving an appreciative glance back in Remy's direction.

So, maybe she tried a bit to look good tonight. She'd put in a few solid hours of cleaning at home, finally hopping in the shower around six to ensure she wouldn't be late. She didn't have a lot of clothing with her, settling on a light sweater and black jeans--one of her favorite looks. She'd dried her hair, the loose ringlets hovering midway between her chin and her shoulders. They gently bounced with the product she'd applied, and it gave them an extra oomph.

Okay, yeah. She'd tried. A lot. So sue her. She had to keep up with her companion who seemed to look good regardless of what she wore. The list of things Fallon looked good in was getting absurdly long, from T-shirts to overalls and everything in between. The woman might as well be a mannequin that could be dressed up in anything and look fantastic.

"Takes one to know one," was the worst line ever but all that she could come up with in the moment, her brain short-circuiting as she replayed all of Fallon's past outfits in her mental Rolodex.

"I'll take it. Do you want a drink and then maybe a tour of the house?"

"A pretty high standard was set with the tour from earlier today, so I'm not sure if this can live up to expectations.
